| Hola a todos es la primera vez que posteo, ciertamente me gusta buscar primero pero encontre algo similar en el foro pero no resolvi mi problema. El problema qu tengo es el siguiente compre una Ram de 1GB marca Kingston de 533Mhz, pero solo reconoce 512Mb, mi pc es una Pentium 4 Pcchip P23G de 2.66Ghz, haver si alguien por favor me puv ayudar. Si necesitan algun dato mas me avisan...... |

Hola "jusunx", gracias por responder, pues te comento inicialmente tenia una RAM de 512Mb de 533Mhz (marca: "no era muy conocido almenos no era Kingston)" , luego compre la de 1Gb y una tarjeta de video de 256Mb AGP 8x, al instalar lo comprado observo que la RAM llega a 1024Mb o 1GB, pense que hacia conflicto con la nueva RAM y no reconocia a la de 512Mb, asi que opte por retirarla y cuando reinicio solo tengo 512Mb, es en ese momento que me di cuenta que esta reconociendo solo la mitad de la capacidad de la nueva, opte luego por poner la RAM antigua de 512Mb para tener mas capac. , pero lo ideal seria que tenga en total 1.5Gb (con las 2 mem RAM) y no solo 1Gb . Y tambien gracias por responder "XXShaka2592" , en este momento no estoy en casa, pero recuerdo si la Ram no me falla (cabeza) , la version de la bios imagino v.1.y algo??, y socket 775 segun la pagina web, si me indicas como ver eso.... |

| re: Problema nueva RAM de 1GB en Pcchips (Terminado) YO YA VI TU MOTHRBOARD Y ES SOCKER 775 Y SOPORTA COMO MAXIMO UN PENITUM D acavo de vver mas afondo la version del bios que tienes ees la 1.0 por ende el bios solo soportara 512 de ram en cada slot.. eso pasa si pones de 1gb solo reconocera 512.. solucion? actualiza tu bios descargandolo desde la pagina pcchips |

Si esta es tu placa base confirmalo por favor (sería bueno que nos pusieras un informe con Everest de tu placa base, Chipset y SPD con los dos módulos instalados): PCCHIPS Web Site Soporta perfectamente módulos de 1 GB. Como ves tiene soporte para módulos DDR y módulos DDR2 (NO combinables es decir se pone de un tipo o de otro), no se de que tipo es el que estás usando porque no lo especificas aunque yo supongo que es el DDR2, si estás usando las ranuras para DDR2 soporta perfectamente los módulos de 533 de 1 GB o debería hacerlo. Es posible que el módulo esté dañado o sea defectuoso o no lo estés conectando en la ranura adecuada. Normalmente se debe poner el módulo de mayor capacidad en el primer banco de las ranuras correspondientes y el de menor capacidad a continuación. También es importante que nos digas la cantidad de memoria que reconoce la Bios, esto es importante porque puede que la bios te lo tome bien pero el sistema no esté detectando el cambio y sea un problema a nivel sistema De todos modos miraré el manual de tu placa base por si hay que configurar algún jumper o modificar algo.. Hola a todos por responder, las 2 memorias son DDR2 (uno de 1GB y otro de 512MB), el de 1 GB esta en la ranura 1, y hay un programa la cual no recuerdo (estoy en el trabajo), observo que tengo 1.5GB de RAM. Pero al momento de encender la PC, en la fila donde se observa la memoria RAM indica solo "1024Mb (DDR2 RAM)", tambien en el cuadro de Panel de Control/Sistemas se observa lo mismo. tengo un Windows XP SP 3,..... por cierto estoy por formatear toda mi maquina ya que he tenido problemas con algunos virus que desconfiguro muchos programas, pero no creo que tenga nada que ver, ya que el total de memoria, como indique anteriormente se observa al momento de encender la PC (la informacion que arroja la BIOS). Y con respecto a la placa que indicas en la pagina de PC Chip, es el PCCHIPS Web Site ; basicamente la diferencia es que tu indicas en la pag. que es una P23G V.3.0 y en mi placa tiene grabado P23G V.1.0, ahora revise las especificaciones de esta placa deberia reconocer las RAM de 1GB incluso creo?? hasta de 2GB creo ???, pero en fin observo tambien que la actualizacion del BIOS para ambas es el mismo archivo y las mismas especificaciones...., favor indicame si es necesario actualizar y que peligros hay.....(¿¿la actualizacion se borra al momento de formatear la PC??) Estare colgando el informe con Everest de la placa base, Chipset y SPD con los dos módulos instalados, en unas 4hrs aprox cuando llegue a mi domicilio, no lo hice porque no lo se hacerlo, encontraré la forma y lo haré.... | re: Problema nueva RAM de 1GB en Pcchips (Terminado) lo de actualizar la bios no se borra cuando formateas ya que eso se guarda o se modifica dentro de los componentes de la placa base... yo pienso que actualizando el bios podria correte bien la ram, puesto que yo tenia un msi que decia que soportaba 4gb de ram segun la pagina web pero al poner las 4gb de ram, en el bios solo me aparecian 2.6gb contacte con el soporte de msi y me dijeron que actualizando el bios se corrigue el problema... veo que tu placa base es un poco antigua y talves no es compatible del todo con la memoria ram que intentas poner y si actualizas podria funcionarte bien pero vermos que dice alyana sobre tu informe, a ver si hay una solucion a esto sin tener que actualizar |
