Triste Cuanta memoria RAM soporta mi PC (Solucionado)

ola que tal tengo una duda quisiera saber cuanta memoria RAM es capaza de soporta mi pc.

Que caracteristicas de mi PC necesito saber para mi duda.

Si tu placa madre es una BIOSTAR modelo U8668 PRO (que no lo espesçcifica) soportaria un maximo de 2GB Ram modelo DDR1 PC-2100 (pc-266) o 2GB Ram modelo DIMM PC-133 ya que tiene para ambos modelo PERO OJO NO PUEDES COLOCARLE RAM DIFERENTES O ES UN MODELO O EL OTRO te aconsejo la DDR PC2100

Pero como te digo que everest me recomiendas para saber toda esa informacion, y como supiste que "soportaria un maximo de 2GB Ram modelo DDR1 PC-2100 (pc-266) o 2GB Ram modelo DIMM PC-133" Mi pc eso me lo podrias explicar para saber como identificar ese tipo de cosas en otra PLACA MADRE

Hola

Para identificar esa informacion solo tienes que acudir a la página de soporte de tu placa base y verás el manual y sus especificaciones, y todo lo que soporta
Si es la placa base que te dice Halckon (yo creo que si) te ha facilitado el enlace a la misma en su post

Puedes añadirle un módulo de 1 Gb en el otro zócalo para DDR del tipo DDR-400 Pc 3200 CL3 de la misma velocidad que el que tienes aunque ambos te andarán a 266 (133) y no a 400 ya que 266 Mhz es el máximo soportado, pero no te preocupes porque te irán bien. Coloca el nuevo módulo de 1 Gb en primer zócalo DDR (el que está más cerca del micro) y el de 256 lo pasas al segundo. O si quieres quitas el de 256 y le pones dos de 1 GB, aunque con Xp te irá bien con 1,25 GB de Ram

Como acudo ala pagina de soporte de mi placa base, y cual es la diferencia entre el modelo que dice Halckon que es un maximo de 2GB Ram modelo DDR1 PC-2100 (pc-266) o 2GB Ram modelo DIMM PC-133, con el modelo que tu me dices que es DDR del tipo DDR-400 Pc 3200 CL3 y no afecta que sea un DDR-400 Pc 3200 CL3 si mi pc solo soporta DDR-266 como tu me dices.

bueno, te deje un enlace en el POST anteriorque dice "BIOSTAR USA" pincha en el y te llevará a la placa que yo te mencioné, ahora te mencione esta placa en particular por que el modelos VIARAMA U6886 PRO generalmente son marca BIOSTAR, ademas en la info que mandaste menciona lo siguente

ahora la diferencia en los modelos de RAM seria que una la DIMM funciona con lectura y escritura para un solo sentido, mientras que la DDR funciona en ambos sentidos siendo esta mucho mas rapida que la otra.
Bien ahora tu placa madre es una placa de Transicion, quiero decir, que tiene para colocarle ambos modelos de RAM, PERO SOLO TIENES QUE UTILIZAR UN MODELO, y como te recomende anteriormente es la DDR
Cabe mencionarque en la informacion que mencionaste estas usando una RAM DDR DE 256MB modelo PC-3200 (PC-400), que sobrepasa "supuestamente" (coloco entre comillas suponiendo que es el modelo que te mencioné) al modelo que soporta la placa madre que seria la PC-2100 (PC-266) esto no complica en el funcionamiento, y como dijo ALYANA esta ram aunque sea de un modelo mayor a lo soportado solo correria a la velocidad del modelo PC-2100

Ademas de tomar buena nota de lo que te comenta Halckon , cuando no sabemos el modelo exacto (tambien lo podrás ver impreso en la propia mother) o tenemos dudas de a que fabricante corresponde exactamente los tecnicos acudimos a la información del Chipset en tu caso es VIA VT8751 Apollo P4M266 ya que este elemento es el encargado de soportar la Ram entre otras muchas cosas y colocando lo que soporta el chipset raramente tendremos problemas..

Por otro lado yo solo te estoy diciendo el tipo de memoria que ya tienes instalada como ves en el informe del Everest. Las placas base pueden soportar diferentes velocidades de memoria, y en tu caso el máximo soportado en las DDR es la Pc2100 pero si le colocas una Pc3200 te va a trabajar como una Pc2100 y te va a ir sin problemas, en fin creo que esto ya se ha explicado.. además de que ya no hay soporte para las DDR Pc2100 al menos en España yo ya no encuentro ninguna y cuando tengo que ampliar mother dual tengo que acudir a los mercados de segunda mano

En el caso de que el nombre y modelo de la placa base sea el que dice halckon, tendria que comprarame una memoria de 1GB de RAM DDR-400 PC-3200 o una de 1GB de DDR-400 Pc 3200 CL3 o estos dos son el mismo.

Y de la marca KINGSTON o CORSAIR que son las que me recomienda halckon para mi pc.
