Problema con Dual Channel (Terminado)

Buenas!

Tengo un problema con el dual channel. Cuando lo pongo no inicia el windows, se reinicia o sale la pantalla azul y se queda en el error no anda mas.

Pongo mi hardware para ver si es compatible ya que yo no tengo mucha idea :S

No hay ningún motivo aparente en los dos módulos para que no se active el Dual o te funcione mal aunque hay que leer el manual de la placa base para saber lo que exige a este respecto.. hay algunas placas que exigen que sean exactamente iguales incluso en la marca..

Ahora mismo no lo tienes activado ya que tienes colocados los módulos en el dimm1 y 2, y supongo que el problema te surge cuando pasas uno de los módulos al dimm3 para activar el doble canal.... ¿es así?

Asi es, los tengo asi porque si no no me arranca bien el ordenador.
La verdad que llevo años con las dos ram y me dado cuenta esta semana cuando abri el ordenador para limpiarlo

Edit: En el manuel pone que es necesario que sean de la misma marca, velocidad, tamaño y tipo.
Creo que las dos son identicas no?

Pues por más que las miro las veo iguales incluso las dos son KINGSTON

tendré que leer detenidamente el manual por si hay que tener en cuenta algo más.. ¿has probado colocandolas en el segundo canal (DIMM2 y DIMM4)? aunque en teoría debe llenarse primero el primer doble canal en algunas placas base permiten que esto sea independiente, puede que haya algún problema con el DIMM3 , habría que probar un solo módulo solo en el DIMM3

¿porqué piensas que estaban colocadas así desde hace tanto tiempo? ¿están asi desde que compraste el pc?

Las compre por separado. Le dije al vendedor el equipo que tenia y me recomendo la segunda tarjeta. Claro el tendria en mente el dual channel pero yo no sabia eso, entonces las coloque como estan ahora. Y claro el ordenador tiene años y yo no tenia ni idea y el otro dia pues mira...:S

voy a probar lo de ponerlo en el dim2 y 4 a ver... ahora te cuento gracias

¿qué ocurre exactamente cuando las colocas en dual? ¿puedes entrar a la Bios nada más colocarlo a ver como se muestra o no te deja? es posible que el problema esté en que son Pc3200 y están a 200 Mhz, a ver si bajandolas a 166 con CL 2,5 no hay problemas ya que esa placa base responde distinto dependiendo de la velocidad soportada por el Chipset.. mira si puedes ver en la Bios los valores de la DRAM (frecuencia y latencia)

En las bios puedo entrar, la pantalla azul sale cuando windows esta cargando en la pantalla negra y el logotipo, sale la pantalla azul y se reinicia en segundos

¿te refieres a que se produce una Bsod o pantallazo azul antes del reinicio? puedes llegar a leer el mensaje de error?

¿puedes entrar en modo a prueba de fallos?

Si se siguen produciendo los pantallazos cuando intentas colocar los módulos en dual (prueba por favor a bajar a 166 Mhz la velocidad de las Ram en la bios a ver como reacciona) es posible que sea necesario actualizar la bios a ver si esto soluciona el problema

De todos modos por favor prueba también a colocar un solo módulo en el DIMM3 ya que es necesario descartar los DIMM que pudieran estar defectuosos

PD- siento no poder seguir con el tema ahora mismo pero me tengo que ir a trabajar en cuanto pueda sigo el tema

Es pantallazo y no da tiempo a leer nada se reinicia al momento. He probado lo de las bios y nada, pero es raro pongo a 166 y al reiniciar me vuelvo a meter en las bios y estan cambiadas... se guardara bien?

Mmm.. soy chica

Habrá que mirar en la página de soporte de Asrock las actualizaciones de Bios que están disponibles y ver que versión de Bios tienes tu.. esto lo puedes ver en la propia Bios o en la pestaña DMI con el Everest

En lo que dices de que no se guardan las configuraciones de la Bios asegúrate cuando hagas el cambio de salir con F10 o de salvar los cambios, si se produjera algun error al cambiar la configuración de la Bios no te preocupes ya que siempre se podrá volver a la configuración por defecto

Es muy raro que te den los mismos pantallazos cuando ocupas el Canal A que cuando ocupas el canal B

¿has probado a entrar en modo a prueba de fallos? también sería bueno que probaras con un livecd de Linux por si el problema es que tu sistema operativo no se configura correctamente para aceptar la nueva forma de trabajo de la Ram aunque esto es bien raro pero no debemos descartarlo

Como usar un Livecd
ésta es una buena forma de ver si el problema es de sistema o de Hardware

Debo ver el pantallazo y el mensaje que arroja ya que es muy conveniente para acercarnos al problema, deshabilita el reinicio automático en caso de error como se menciona aquí para obligar a la máquina a que se detenga en la pantalla, o ten preparada una cámara digital a ver si la puedes captar..

Como desactivar el reinicio automático
